SPIDER

I admit, I'm a day behind or was until a few minutes ago.

But you have to understand...


I was about to post my pic yesterday when a spider crawled up onto my keyboard and disappeared under the F8 key. It completely freaked me out. Thank you to Brady who used a can of compressed air and the vacuum to DEBUG my keyboard.

Spring

I took a really lame picture today, but it was a picture, none the less.  But, when I went to upload the pics to my computer, I found that I did indeed take a picture yesterday!  I was just too exhausted to remember when I got home last night.  So today, you get yesterday's pic instead of the boring one I took today.  I took this down the street from Jana's house. I noticed they were starting to blossom last time I was down there. Spring blossoms in February have got to be one of my top three reasons for moving to Vegas.

Wicker Makeover

Picked these tired orangish chairs up for $20. Can of  dark walnut spray paint $4. What a nice change. They'll look great on the front porch. I'm thinking they'll need a couple of red accent pillows.

Builder Beige...

...is not my friend.      

I'm starting to add some color to my house. This is Driftwood Gray but it pulls quite blue thanks to the pink in that is in the builder beige all over the walls. I think that once the trim is painted a true white, the gray will be less blue. If not, bring on the rollers and brushes once again.

Blue Moon Ring

I don't know what that means, but I couldn't resist.  I was playing with shutter and exposure etc trying to get it exactly as I saw it (which is about a half moon, rather than what appears to be a full moon) but the chilly temperatures got the better of me before I got it right.  Stupid winter.

PS I don't know if you can see it, but the little dipper (or is it the big dipper??) is in the center at the top of the frame.

I took tulips to Annie for her birthday but this one was totally limp. I didn't put it in the vase. A little water over the weekend and it's back to life. Possibly my favorite pic so far this year.

Slacker

Okay, I have to admit . . I got so busy/distracted with everything today that other than a half hearted attempt to get a picture of a bald eagle with my phone, I didn't even pull out my camera today.  See A) Chuck escaped this morning, took me almost half an hour to find him (eating the neighbors garbage, no less). B) Went with my Mom to her dr appt to listen to him tell her more about her MRI results that she didn't understand last time. C) Dad had to work so I hauled wood in for him this afternoon. D) Had to go get Mom's prescriptions filled. E) Have just spent hours doing resumes and reading up about the training at Apple.  So I'm too tired to even try to fake a picture tonight.  So instead (after that long rambling excuse train) you get a picture I took this time two years ago at a First Friday in Vegas with Jana and crew. It's odd, but I like it anyway.

Poor sad, lonely Tanner.  With my parents gone, he sits upstairs by himself all day. And I guess it's started to get to him.  He knows he's not allowed downstairs, but I could hear his collar jingling and turned around to find him hiding at the bottom of the steps.
